Welcome to the IECM Thailand website and the recently concluded 3rd annual IECM 2009 conference. This year’s program included a sumptuous outdoor Welcome Reception, a series of educational seminars and presentations, a Trade Show exhibit, as well as a construction site tour of the new “RIVER” high rise condominium project underway along the Chao Praya river.

Sponsoring organizations included CMAA, PWC, CIOB, PMI Bangkok Chapter, Rabco Engineering PC, AIT University, and King Mongkul University. This year’s program allowed the sponsoring of 12 CM/ Engineering students from both AIT and King Mongkul.

Participants originated from US, UK, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Nepal, Myanmar, Indonesia, and India. Attendees were able to not only obtain valuable knowledge from the seminars, but also develop and initiate new business opportunities. Despite the current global recession, the SE Asia market remains a highly opportunistic arena for Engineers/ CM and construction professionals.

For those looking ahead to next year, the IECM program is tentatively set for March 7-9 2010, in Bangkok, THAILAND with a likely follow up Business mission to VIETNAM.
